Frequently Asked QuestionsQ. When and where is the RELAY FOR SHELTER? A. Set up Friday, June 3rd, from noon - 8:00 pm at Chippewa Park. On-site security is provided Friday night. Opening ceremonies begin 9:00 am Saturday with closing ceremonies & awards presentation starting at 7:00 pm on June 04th, at Chippewa Park. Q. Is there a registration fee? A. Yes, $15.00 per adult and children 18 & under $10.00. Each registered participant will receive an event T-shirt, (team to choose color to go with their theme) and a picnic lunch served from 11:00 am til 4:00 pm Q. What about pledges? A. Set your goals high and you'll be amazed how easy it is to reach them! As a baseline, each team member is encourange to raise a minimum of $125.00 in donations or children 18 & under $100.00. Fundraising can be done on a individual basis, as a team or both. Q. Can we team fund raise all year long? A. Yes! We encourange teams to be creative and keep the RELAY FOR SHELTER spirit going all year long with team fundraising. Q. What if it rains? A. The RELAY FOR SHELTER will go on scheduled-rain or shine-so bring gear for rainy / unseasonal weather. Q. How many people can be on our team? A. Teams usually consist of 6 ++++ members. Q. What about a theme of the RELAY FOR SHELTER? A. After you have choosen your team color t-shirt, pick a theme, be creative....Not only do teams get in the spirit by choosing a theme and decorating their campsites, but many dress up in costumes and make signs to go along with their theme Q. Is it an overnight event, where will I sleep? A. Teams will have assigned campsites at no charge in the Relay Village. Cabin rentals are available for those wishing to stay overnight. Q. Do children need to register? A. Yes, all children must have their parent or guardian sign the waiver. An emergency contact number must be listed. Q. What about my children, what will they do? A. Children of all ages are very much part of the RELAY FOR SHELTER. As a registered participant they can participate in the picnic games, children's area, amusement rides will be open (fee). Q. What can't I bring? A. Pets, rollerblades/skates, bicycles, skateboards Q, Okay, this sounds like a great time, now what do I do? A.
