REPORTING: IS RESPONSIBLE TO AND REPORTS DIRECTLY TO THE OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

| DUTIES AS ASSIGNED -
To clean kitchen, dining room, foyers, washrooms and other areas on a regular basis. -
To assist with inventory control as delegated by Executive Director, or Operations Supervisor. -
To assist in minor maintenance as required. -
To prepare and serve meals as required. -
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor CLIENT SUPPORT SERVICES -
Provide direct client reception according to designated procedures. -
To be directly involved in the client need analysis through intake procedure. -
To maintain an effective communications tool and record of client activities (ie. log book, client information cards, assignment of beds, and other proper forms completed.) -
To provide coordinate volunteer activity for clients. -
To oversee client activities by monitoring and providing effective intervention in crisis situations while clients are at Rotary Shelter House. -
To monitor incoming/outgoing people traffic. -
Directing visitors appropriately. -
To work cooperatively and effectively with other staff, volunteers, & clients. LIASON WITH VOLUNTERS -
To schedule and provide assistance to volunteers, as required. -
To accept all non-monetary donations in a pleasant, gracious manner. -
To maintain records of all donations. HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES -
Report all Health & Safety concerns to Health & Safety committee and management. -
Fix all Health & Safety concerns where applicable. -
To work in a healthy and safe manner. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT -
Will work shift as scheduled. -
Must be bondable. QUALIFICATIONS -
Excellent communication skills are required. -
Previous experience in working with homeless persons is preferred. -
Previous experience with life skills as desirable. -
Knowledge of homeless population and related concerns an asset. -
Good knowledge of community service agencies plus experience in Crisis Intervention is desirable. -
Conflict resolution skills. SALARY & BENEFITS -
