Kick-off & Media Launch "Raise the Rent".....NEED A CHALLEGE while raising much needed $$$ for Shelter House.
On you mark, get set….and DIAL!!! Shelter House is inviting you to come and raise awareness and much needed dollars at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 27th, 2012 in the dining room of Rotary Shelter House.
We need your help now more than ever and we, Shelter House Thunder Bay, Staff, Volunteers and most of the people that use our facilities are very excited to be entering into our 8th year of “Raise the Rent”.
The basic idea is to raise $625.00 or more--which is equivalent to one month’s rent in Thunder Bay--or spend the night at Shelter House. We will provide you with the 2012 “Raise the Rent pledge kit”, which will contain pledge forms, and information for the 2012 RELAY FOR SHELTER. We also encourage you to pre-pledge before March 27th and get a head start.

Not just an event....AN EXPERIENCE
It's the 18th annual RELAY FOR SHELTER.
The RELAY FOR SHELTER is not only a fundraiser; it's also a lot fun. The RELAY FOR SHELTER welcomes participants of all ages....you do not have to be a runner or even be athletic, just be ready for some hours of wacky activities, friendly competition and good, clean fun. You also get to walk away knowing that the money you raised is helping to support men, women, youth and families who are most in need in this city.
Want to be a team captain! Registration and information session will be held on Tuesday, February 28th in the dining room of Rotary Shelter House 5:00 pm. A light lunch will be served. Come out and see what's new for this year, reserve a site or cabin, choose your own t shirt color. Annual General Membership Meeting and Volunteer Appreciation Night will be held on Thursday, February 9th, 2012 at Knights of Columbus Hall, 301 S. May Street, at 5:30
